WHiSH is a multi-centre, multi-surgeon, parallel, two arm, randomised controlled feasibility trial of Negative Pressure Wound Therapy (NPWT) dressings vs. Standard dressings in patients aged 65 and over. The trial is being conducted at five sites across the UK. The trial is embedded within the WHiTE Comprehensive Cohort Study.

The trial is expected to last a total of 18 months. Recruitment will run for approximately 6 months in total.
